Hopedale Girls Youth Softball Association is a girls fast-pitch softball league for girls in Hopedale, MA.
We have a recreational league that runs during the spring, starting in April and running until the beginning of June. This league is for girls in grades K-6 and is great for any girl either just starting out in the sport, or someone who has played before and would like to continue to learn and grow. Since we are a small town, we partner with Milford Girls Softball for our spring program. This gives the girls additional teams to play against.
We also offer a Summer Travel League, this league is a higher competition level for the girls that are interested in continuing to play softball after the spring season. This season runs from the beginning of June through the end of July as well as participating in 3 tournaments per division. We have teams in the 10U, 12U and 14U, we have opportunities in both the "A" and "B" divisions at these age groups. We currently play in the Twin Valley League, this league consists of 24 towns spread over the different divisions. We are happy to say that teams in both our 14U and 12U division qualified for the playoffs in 2017 and our 14U and 12U-A teams won the Twin Valley League championships for their respective divisions. Tryouts for the summer teams will be in the early spring.
In addition to the Spring and Summer leagues we have been fortunate to have continued interest into the fall and have been part of the Bellingham Fall Softball Leauge for the past few years. This league consists of 10U, 12U and 14U divisions and is a cross between the spring and summer programs. Hopefully, with continued interest in the program, we will be able to continue this opportunity for girls that still want to play this far into the season.
Our league is 100% volunteer run, all board members and coaches are parents and have a love for teaching the game and providing a fun experience for the girls!
